Well established as Mindi Abair’s touring guitarist, Jay Gore released the album ‘Identity’ in 2012. In the main it features songs he has written over the years and finally decided to record along with a tasty smooth jazz duet, co-written and performed with the one and only Peter White. The latest single to be lifted from the collection is his instrumental take on Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds 1975 classic ‘Fallin' In Love’ which looks destined to be a Valentines night crowd-pleaser.
In fact Gore's first job, at age 21, was as guitarist for Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds and since then this seasoned LA session player has toured the world with artists as diverse as Michael McDonald, Michael Bolton, Ray Parker Jr., The Pointer Sisters, David Pack, Keb’ Mo, Chris Botti, Sheila E, Lalah Hathaway, Dave Koz and, somewhat notably, Lauryn Hill with whom he got into a legal wrangle over unpaid wages.
Not only that, as a songwriter and producer his music has been heard on TV shows such as 90210, Miami Ink, American Dad, E.R. and Party of Five.
