Sensual sax-man Paul Taylor is right up there with the best in urban jazz. His 2007 project, the sensational ‘Ladies Choice’, garnered his first #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart while the title cut from the appropriately named 2009 follow-up, ‘Burnin’, sizzled to the top of the chart of most played on smooth jazz radio. Now Taylor is all set to write another chapter with the June 14 release of his powerful and emotionally charged 10 song collection, ‘Prime Time’.
Not only that, for the first time since his ‘Nightlife’ project in 2005, Taylor is co-writing with Dino Esposito who has been collaborating with him since his 1997 hit ‘Pleasure Seeker’. Complementing the seven tracks produced by Esposito will be four urban adult contemporary vocal numbers co-written and produced by hit production team The Heavyweights who is led by vocalist Jamie Jones of the award winning R&B vocal group All-4-One.
The first tune to be serviced to radio is the mid-tempo ‘Push To Start’ which with its subtle string backing and zesty vibe is sure to do well.
