With intuitive creativity and a flair for melodic improvisation sax-man Arno Haas is rapidly gaining a reputation for music that is sometimes jazzy but always engaging. Take for example the easy grooving ‘Chick Flick’, from his current CD ‘Back To You’, that is officially going for adds on April 3, 2017.
Written by Haas and Tom Saviano, who also produces and contributes on Fender Rhodes, this mellifluous masterpiece checks every contemporary jazz box imaginable. Not only that, with the added bonus of a sumptuous piano solo from Randy Waldman, this is a track that is sure to catch the attention of smooth jazz fans everywhere.
Arno Haas was born in Hornberg, Germany and, coming as he did from a family of musicians, it was no surprise that her chose to cultivate his talents in the Musical Corps Of The German Air Force. From there a career in professional music beckoned and after studying saxophone at the Swiss Jazz School in Berne, Switzerland Arno has gone on to play extensively in both in Europe and the USA with such jazz luminaries as Al Jarreau, Brian Bromberg, the Stuttgart Jazz Orchestra, Helene Fischer and Patrick Lindner to name but a few.
In fact Jarreau makes a guest appearance on the Skytown Records released ‘Back To You’ album that has already proved to be a tight ten-track collection with considerable appeal.
Completing the line-up on ‘Chick Flick’ is Michael O‘Neill on guitar, drummer Joel Taylor, Alvin Mills on bass and percussionist Arno Lucas.
