A new album release from sax-man Boney James is always a special event and ‘Contact’ which will hit the streets on March 29, 2011 is sure to be no exception.. Boney is the undisputed master of urban contemporary jazz and with a guest line-up that will include Donnell Jones, Heather Hedley and former Destiny’s Child vocalist LeToya Luckett, ‘Contact’ looks certain to be another stunning example of his considerable art. LeToya’s input to the track ‘When I Had The Chance’ will undoubtedly grab the attention but for now early interest surrounds the title cut which also happens to be the first track serviced to radio. This velvety horn driven number is replete with Boney’s hallmark playing and, with a splash of high octane electric guitar, is sure to do well.
